Plaster consists of 40% portland cement and 60% sand/crushed marble. This is a very porous product which allows for the pool surface to breakdown tremendously in aggressive water. Plaster carries a one (1) year limited warranty. Color and/or quartz can be added to plaster. Color is not warranted or guaranteed. Color will vary throughout the pool surface.
Max Plus is a product that is plaster based with a pozzolan additive. The pozzolan extends the life of the pool surface material by increasing durability. Max Plus carries a three (3) year limited warranty. You can find more information on this additive by searching ‘metamax’ at http://www.engelhard.com/ HYDRAQUARTZ Hydraquartz consists of 40% portland cement and 60% pulverized white quartz. Quartz is extremely resistant to aggressive pool water and is very dense. Hydraquartz carries a ten (10) year limited warranty. You can also use color coated quartz to add color and sparkle to your surface.
AGGREGATE SURFACE MATERIALS PEBBLE FINISHES We feature Stone Scapes and River Rok products. These products are a mixture of pebbles with color, and portland cement. The pebbles are exposed giving a rougher finish. These products are more durable than plaster. QUARTZ FINISHES Hydraquartz – This product consists of portland cement, pozzolan, crushed rock quartz (if you want color that can also be added along with colored quartz). This product carries a ten (10) year limited warranty on labor and material. Diamond Brite or Sunstone - These products are a mixture of quartz, color, portland cement and shell quartz dust. The quartz is exposed with a light acid wash of the pool surface. These products carry a ten (10) year limited warranty. Durazzo – This product consists of quartz (a different kind of quartz from the above mentioned products), color, portland and marble dust. The quartz is exposed by polishing the pool surface rather than acid wash. This leaves a smoother surface. Durazzo carries a five (5) year limited warranty.
